How to use

There are a couple of ways to use my repository

  • wget https://deb.paranoid.nl/pool/myguard.deb
    dpkg -i myguard.deb
    apt update

  • apt-get install -y lsb-release wget gnupg  # optional
    CODENAME=`lsb_release -c -s`
    wget -O- https://deb.paranoid.nl/gpg.key | apt-key add -
    echo "deb [arch=amd64] http://deb.paranoid.nl $CODENAME main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb.paranoid.nl.list
    apt-get update
    apt-get --no-install-recommends install nginx

  • cd /etc/apt/trusted.d.gpg
    wget https://deb.paranoid.nl/deb.paranoid.nl.gpg
    . /etc/os-release
    echo "deb [arch=amd64] http://deb.paranoid.nl $VERSION_CODENAME main" >  /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb.paranoid.nl.list
    apt update
    apt-get --no-install-recommends install nginx

  • . /etc/os-release
    echo "deb [trusted=yes] http://deb.paranoid.nl $VERSION_CODENAME main" >  /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb.paranoid.nl.list
    apt update
    apt-get --no-install-recommends install nginx

  • go to https://deb.paranoid.nl/pool and get the packages yourself
  • If you're building dockers, you can use my base images on hub.docker.com, they already include the repo

If you want to prefer my repository above -release you can pin it, but this should generally not be necessary

echo “Package: *” > /etc/apt/preferences.d/99debparanoid.nl
echo “Pin: origin deb.paranoid.nl” >> /etc/apt/preferences.d/99debparanoid.nl
echo “Pin-Priority: 501” >> /etc/apt/preferences.d/99debparanoid.nl
(or make it <500 if you want to give priority to -release)
